Customer Services

CleanScapes maintains full time staff to help customers implement waste reduction and diversion programs. Waste reduction postpones the need for new landfills and other capital intensive waste management systems while at the same time reducing fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Waste Audits

CleanScapes provides free on-site audits for commercial customers looking to improve their recycling programs. Our staff and a customer representative inspect garbage and recycling container contents and CleanScapes provides recommendations about items that could be recycled or composted.

CleanScapes uses waste auditing as a tool to help local businesses achieve more sustainable practices through waste diversion programs and total waste reduction. In conducting LEED-EB waste audits, CleanScapes identifies materials found in the waste stream, projects annual diversion rates, and recommends methods to reduce waste. The results help customers establish waste reduction and recycling programs that create sustainable, economical, and healthy work places, and help qualify their buildings for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification.

Call (206) 859-6700 to arrange a waste audit for your business.

Other ways we help our customer’s reduce waste:

Used Oil Collection & Recycling. We displace over 200,000 lbs of carbon dioxide annually by collecting used fryer oil and re-manufacturing it into Biodiesel.

CleanEvent Stations. We help the communities we service move toward zero waste public events by using CleanEvent Stations, which graphically indicate how to dispose of festival–related materials to maximize waste diversion. CleanScapes provided recycling, food waste and garbage collection for 30 events in the summer of 2009. To make arrangements for your CleanEvent Station, call (206) 859-6700.

CDL Recycle. CleanScapes’ sister company, CDL Recycle, recycles 95% of the construction and demolition waste received. To arrange for a construction and demolition debris drop box, call (206) 763-2002.
