Office Practices
At CleanScapes, we take every opportunity to reduce our environmental impact in our own offices. Below are just a few of the steps our company has taken toward sustainability in both of our Georgetown offices:

Internal Waste Audits:
• Conduct monthly internal waste audits, post results above office waste containers and present results at staff meetings. • Make it easy to recycle and compost by putting compost containers in offices and recycle cans by each employee’s desk. • Include helpful tips about items to recycle or compost in monthly employee newsletter.
Purchase Our Office Supplies Using Environmental Purchasing Guidelines:
• Reuse cardboard boxes and plastic air packs in outgoing shipments, and reduce the need to buy new boxes or packing materials. • Purchase only 100% post consumer content recycled paper. • Purchase post consumer content recycled office supplies such as staples and staplers, paperclips, ink cartridges and filing folders.

Reduce Our Paper Use:
• Set default on all printers to print double-sided. • Provide “second chance paper” collection boxes next to our printers and bind single-sided used paper is into tablets for use as scratch paper. • Reduce incoming and outgoing mail by encouraging customers to sign up for paperless billing on our website and removing our address from junk mail lists.
