Materials Collected

Much of what we throw away can actually be recycled. By recycling more, you may be able to save money and you will conserve resources.

Materials to put in your recycling cart

Special Handling

Bag Loose Items
  Bag loose ashes, sawdust, vacuum cleaner dust, cat litter, styrofoam packing pellets or similar lightweight material before placing in your garbage cart.

Latex Paint Cans
  Dried or solid latex paint may be placed in your garbage cart.
  Use kitty litter to solidify paint in the can.

Bulky Items
  Large items such as mattresses, appliances or building materials are picked up by special arrangement for a fee. Call 206-763-4444.
