For safe disposal of hazardous waste visit http://www.govlink.org/hazwaste/index.cfm. • Oil-based paint. varnish, paint thinner, solvents. • Lawn products. insecticides, herbicides, fertilizer. • Automotive products. vehicle batteries and fluids. • Aerosol spray cans. • Concrete, rocks and dirt.
Special Handling
Bag Loose Items • Bag loose ashes, sawdust, vacuum cleaner dust, cat litter, styrofoam packing pellets or similar lightweight material before placing in your garbage cart or dumpster.

Latex Paint Cans:
• Allow paint to dry out. • Put can in garbage with the lid off.
