Shoreline’s Interurban Trail Mile Markers are in place! Join the City of Shoreline and CleanScapes in celebrating the completion of the project at 11:50am sharp on Wednesday, June 20th at the marker across from City Hall.
On Saturday, January 19th at 11:00am members of Sustainable NE Seattle will officially open a tool library, giving the neighborhood access to a wide variety of tools, training and other resources.
The NE Seattle Tool Library is a community-led project to provide pay-what-you-can access to a wide range of tools, training, and relevant advice. By providing this service, the Tool Library aims to inspire its community to participate in projects, such as park restorations, and pursue sustainability through backyard gardens, home energy improvements, and water harvesting.
Funding for the NE Seattle Tool Library was provided by CleanScapes through their Neighborhood Waste Reduction Rewards competition. This competition encourages and rewards neighborhoods to reduce waste.
Shoreline, WA – On Saturday, April 20th, at the City of Shoreline’s annual Earth Day Every Day Event, Shoreline Mayor Keith McGlashan and Councilmember Doris McConnell joined CleanScapes in announcing the winning neighborhoods for the annual Waste Reduction Rewards program.
SEATTLE, WA – Representatives from Northeast Seattle neighborhoods have chosen three projects to be built with $50,000 in funding from CleanScapes. The funding is a reward to the neighborhoods of Wedgwood, Meadowbrook, Inverness, Matthews Beach and View Ridge for reducing the most overall solid waste, recycling and compost among Seattle residents served by CleanScapes.

Shoreline, WA – On Monday, August 5th, Mayor Keith McGlashan was joined by members of the Shoreline community and CleanScapes to officially introduce the newest piece of artwork in the City of Shoreline. The project, which was unveiled at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, represents the culmination of the 2012 CleanScapes’ Neighborhood Waste Reduction Award.
SEATTLE, WA– CleanScapes has announced the winners of their annual Neighborhood Waste Reduction Reward program. The neighborhoods of Maple Leaf, Lake City, Victory Heights, Pinehurst, Wedgwood won the 2012/2013 competition.
