Neighborhood takes on graffiti a block at a time

In the Pearl District, where almost everything happens in greater scale, neighbors weren’t satisfied with modest measures to abate graffiti. Instead of occasional volunteer days to remove the worst patches of graffiti, the Pearl District Neighborhood Association has recruited enough individuals, companies and organizations to adopt every block in the district, each pledging to remove all graffiti in their territory at least weekly.
