From now until July 31st, Shoreline residents are invited to submit ideas for a community improvement project worth $10,000. Project ideas will be reviewed by a committee of neighborhood representatives, and the winning project will be installed and maintained by CleanScapes, in coordination with the City of Shoreline.
Last year, CleanScapes funded the installation of five new benches along the Interurban Trail as the winning project.
CleanScapes will award this year’s project to residents in the Friday collection area for demonstrating the greatest reduction in waste from 2010 to 2011. This area includes all or part of the following neighborhoods: Highland Terrace, Meridian Park, Parkwood, Richmond Highlands, and Westminster Triangle.
Interested in helping your neighborhood win? The 2011-2012 competition is underway, giving you the chance to compete for a $10,000 community project in your neighborhood.
